This week, we are truly blessed to welcome Shogun Spy. One of the finest producers of dub techno and of pure amazing sounds, it made perfect sense for us to chase him for a volume. He has dug deeply, and has come up with an amazing selection of his records for us. Proving that musical journeys, and musical influences can come in all shapes and sizes, this weeks mixtape is very special indeed.

We highly recommend you check him out:

Here are a few words from the man himself:

“This was almost an impossible task for me to decide on a playlist. It changed so many times :) but I really enjoyed the adventure in sound.
In the end I decided on an Irish/electronic theme for the selections. Although I was born in London I grew up in Ireland and as a teenager discovered my first musical influences. Hope you enjoy“

1. Odetta - The Foggy Dew - For me a very moving rendition of an old IRISH SONG. Hope your not offended by this one….. as Music knows no boundaries ! Political or not.

2. Christy Moore - I loved her (album version) - Christy Moore needs no introduction if your Irish. But he surprised me with the Album Traveller and it's Electronic flavour

3. Afro Celt Sound System – Lagan - I hope they need no introduction! a very influential sound from the old sod.

4. The Ghosts - The City - Ghosts!

5. UNKNWN – Tucker - Champion sound again and a free download Annie-mac-presents – Unknwn-tucker

6. Forests – Symmetries - From Dublin not much info again just like the vibe

7. Boxcutter – A Familiar Sound - Planet Mu big boy Barry Linn.

8. Boxcutter - Hyloz - One of my all time favorites !!

9. Ghosts - WLVS - If you can get over there big Burial influence no disrespect Ghosts have some great tracks. Another Champion sound artist

10. Kab Driver - E-M-O Transistor Array - Love Kab driver especially this track. It reminds me of funk tracks that John Peel played back in the day

11. Kab Driver – Baterria - Bliss from the Kab Driver

12. Lakker - Valentina Lane- Deep deep underground ! I was so excited to hear they were Irish. From the great 'Untitled' [SA019]EP Stroboscopic Artefacts

13. Lakker- EeAea - Love this off the wall deepness

14. Marc Romboy vs Stephan Bodzin - Atlas - Ok Bodzin wishes he was Irish but Marc Romboy is one of Ireland's greatest exports besides Guinness.

15. Donnacha Costello - Leaving Berlin - Another big Irish name in electronic music circles

16. Marc Romboy vs Blake Baxter - Muzik (Version 1) - It appears Marc Romboy likes to run around vS people :) great track
